1972 Luis Tiant Game Worn Jersey. An American League-topping 1.91 earned run average in 1972 earned this Cuban superstar his first of three career top ten finishes in Cy Young voting, and establishes this road grey knit pullover as one of the most desirable Tiant models in the hobby today. Wear is strong throughout, with significant puckering of the red and navy Old English lettering that spells "Boston" across the chest and announces his number "23" on verso. Center front tail addresses the issues of vintage, manufacturer and size, with labels reading "1972, McAuliffe Uniform Corp., 43." With teammate Jim Rice having gained 2009 Hall of Fame induction rights after a lengthy wait, Red Sox fans can be encouraged that Tiant might one day gain entry as well, an event that would add significant value to the offered gamer. Bid accordingly. LOA from Lou Lampson.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
