    Description

1972 Ken Boswell Game Worn New York Mets Jersey. Ken Boswell was a solid contributor to one of the most surprising World Series upsets with the Amazin' Mets. The second baseman donned this "Wilson 40" jersey for the majority of the 1972 season given its tremendous use. The two-color tackle twill cursive team name and numbers on back show heavy wear from launderings and everyday use. Moderate to heavy sun fading is apparent throughout. The collar holds a "12 40 72" swatch denoting player number, size and year. A period Wilson size tag is affixed in the tail. The left sleeve end is accentuated with a circular Mets skyline patch. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
