1972 Earl Williams Game Worn Atlanta Braves Jersey. Classic style was immortalized by Hank Aaron when he bested the Babe in 1974, but this particular garment was sported two seasons earlier by the club's starting catcher. "Braves 32" appears beneath the two-button collar on chest, with the digits repeated in larger format on verso. The sleeves sport the distinctive feather design that makes this jersey a collector favorite. Interior collar holds dual "Sand-Knit" labeling with Braves exclusivity and "Size 42" language. Just below these tags is an embroidered swatch reporting "Williams 72 Set 3." Solid wear evident from the 1971 National League Rookie of the Year, who trailed only Aaron in homers with twenty-eight during the sophomore season he wore this shirt. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
