1971 Kansas City Royals Game Worn Jersey.
While the Royals are a relatively new organization, they did enter the Major Leagues wearing flannels for a few years. This early "Wilson size 40" home white flannel was worn during the 1971 season. Currently "48" is captured on the reverse but there was a number change along the way. Each of the identifiers is fashioned in single-color royal blue tackle twill. The left sleeve supports a circular team patch. Blue piping accentuates the sleeve ends and neckline. "71 Set 1" is administered to a swatch in the collar, and the tail includes a Wilson size label. There is a small hole on the midsection. An early look into the Royals organization. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
