1971 Chris Short Game Worn Philadelphia Phillies Jersey. This beautiful exemplar from the sunset of the flannel era features "P 41" on the front and "41" on the verso, all sewn on in maroon chenille embroidery on cream canvas. Thick maroon trim also adorns the shoulders, sleeves and sides (with some fraying and trim loss on the left sleeve). The seven-button front displays "Short" and "44-1971 Set 2" in midnight navy chainlink in the collar and tail respectively. There is also a "Wilson 44" label in the tail.

Arguably the National League's second-best left-handed pitcher during the decade of the 1960's after Sandy Koufax, Short averaged seventeen wins and 188 strikeouts, while posting a 2.82 ERA from 1964-68. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
