1971 Bob Watson Game Worn Houston Astros Jersey. The two-time All-Star was a fixture in the Astrodome outfield for over a decade, so Houstonians of sufficient age will surely find much to love about this tough home white flannel worn in the Major Leagues' first indoor ballpark. Awesome shooting star and "Astros" chenille design commands the chest, with number "27" applied to the back in pilled orange and black velvet. "Watson" has been removed from the shoulders, but the stitching outline is still very easily legible. Team logo patch is affixed to left sleeve. Lower left front tail is tagged "Wilson [size] 44" above an embroidered "71" indicating vintage. Solid game wear evident, but jersey displays very well with no significant aesthetic distractions. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
