1970 Milwaukee Brewers Game Worn Jersey. After a single season in Seattle, the newly-founded Pilots ditched the soggy northwest for a new home in the beer capital of the United States, taking on the title of the Milwaukee Brewers. Here we find a home jersey dating from that inaugural Wisconsin season, issued to Roy Foster but likely used instead by either Russ Snyder or Max Alvis, as Foster was traded before the season began. While many of the Brewers shirts in the hobby are hand-me-downs from the '69 Pilots, this is pure 1970 vintage, as the embroidered "70-Foster" in the tail attests. We are also assured of this fact by the absence of an outline of earlier lettering from Pilots days. The "Brewers" on the chest and number "7" on the verso are each original to the jersey's creation. "Wilson [size] 42" label in the tail. Light but evident wear rounds out an historic package, meriting the impressive grade of A9. LOA from Dave Bushing. LOA from Lou Lampson.
