1970 Mike Compton Game Worn Jersey. Tough three-year style marks the last occasion of road greys before the transition to powder blue traveling shirts we remember so well from the days of Schmidt and Carlton. This one was issued to back-up catcher Mike Compton, who made forty-seven appearances in Philly that season. Classic chenille logo "P" appears over heart, balanced by Compton's number "7" at right. Digit is repeated on verso. Surname appears on embroidered swatch inside collar, while "1970 Set 1" is embroidered directly into the jersey body at lower left exterior tail. A "Wilson [size] 44" label is positioned directly above. Fine wear suggests secondary use on the minor league level, but jersey presents very well with no damage to note. LOA from Lou Lampson.
