    Description

1970 Bernie Allen Game Worn & Signed Washington Senators Jersey. The former star quarterback at Purdue opted for our national pastime instead of the gridiron upon his graduation from college, dedicating a dozen seasons to Major League Baseball between 1962 and 1973. Five of them were spent in our nation's capital, and this is a grey flannel gamer worn during excursions under the management of the great Ted Williams.

"Senators" and number "7" adorn chest and back respectively in red-on-navy tackle twill, while a "Wilson [size] 42" label remains at interior collar. Just the "9" and the "0" of the embroidered "1970" at lower left front tail remain, though we can still make out the outlines of the other two digits. Solid game wear is evident throughout, and a bold black sharpie signature at upper right chest completes the package. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
