Description

1969 Seattle Pilots Spring Training Worn Jersey. An expansion team in 1969, the Seattle Pilots used simple jerseys for Spring Training and preseason games. Their fancy uniforms arrived just before the start of the regular season. Multiple sets of the Spring Training jerseys were produced because, as an expansion team, they fielded an expanded roster full of hopefuls. The forty-man roster set featured the the Wilson label in the tail. while a later set featured the Wilson tag in the collar.

The home white cotton flannel jersey features raglan sleeves, seven-button front, "Pilots" in vertical arch Royal Blue twill across the chest and a full block "4" on the verso. Exhibiting the perfect degree of desired wear, the jersey is completely original and spectacularly beautiful in its simplicity. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
