    Description

1969 Jim Perry Signed Game Worn Minnesota Twins Jersey. In 1969, the Minnesota Twins finished seventh in the A.L. and pitcher Jim Perry was left unprotected in the 1969 Expansion Draft. It is fortunate for the Twins that the Seattle Pilots did not exercise its option to acquire Perry. In 1969, Minnesota captured first place in the A.L. East and Perry went 20-6 with a 2.82 ERA, finishing third and ninth in the CY Young and MVP balloting, respectively. The following season, in 1970, he won twenty-four games and the Cy Young Award.

Here is Perry's road gray, button-down flannel from his breakthrough twenty-win season of 1969. "Twins" is emblazoned across the front with the identifying "31" on the verso, both in midnight navy on red tackle twill. The iconic Twin City patch graces the right sleeve. The garment has an amazing array of tags, including "Perry" stitched in blue on a gray felt swatch in the collar, with "Perry 31 44 69" stitched in blue thread in the tail, above a "Spalding" manufacturing tag, "44" size tag, "Set 1 1969" flap tag, and a washing instructions tag. Completely original and exhibiting nice game wear, this is a fantastic 1960's flannel representation of a star player from one of he and his team's best seasons. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
