1969 Jim Gilliam Game Worn Los Angeles Dodgers Coach's Jersey. While he didn't excel in any one area, Jim Gilliam was a consistent force for the Dodgers as they transitioned from Brooklyn to Los Angeles. Only five men have had their number retired by the proud franchise. The number "19" will never be worn again by a member of the Dodgers. This "Rawlings [size] 42" flannel jersey was worn when Gilliam served as a coach with the team in 1969. The road masterpiece shows good overall wear and has "Los Angeles 19" across the front while the back has only the number. Featured on the right sleeve is an original MLB 100th Anniversary patch. A few minor moth holes appear on the "9" on back. Three important tags/references are located in the tail: Rawlings size, "Gilliam 69" (embroidered) and washing instructions/Set 1 1969. While some had more power or speed than Gilliam, few impacted the organization like the fan favorite. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
