    Description

1969 Gaylord Perry Game Worn San Francisco Giants Uniform, MEARS A9. The leading National League workhorse, Perry's 325.1 innings on the mound in 1969, and 1,345 batters faced, topped all Senior Circuit hurlers as he moved nineteen games closer to the 300 Win Club and Hall of Fame enshrinement. The home white flannel jersey presented here exhibits appropriate wear for the job, with a black and orange "Giants" applied in classic font across the chest and number "36" similarly constructed on verso. Interior collar holds embroidered "Perry" swatch with a 10/10 blue sharpie signature just below. Lower left front tail is tagged "McAuliffe Uniform Corp." with "'69" year and "46" size sub-tags. Outline of removed Major League Centennial patch is seen at left sleeve. Matching the jersey in style and ownership but not in season, the "Wilson [size] 36" home white pants hold embroidered swatches announcing "Perry" and "1971." Markered names of later owners are handwritten at interior waistband, where another flawless blue sharpie Perry autograph is likewise located. LOA from MEARS, A9. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
