Description
1968 Duane Josephson Game Worn Chicago White Sox Jersey. This flannel jersey must have brought Duane Josephson good luck because when he wore it, he made his only All-Star appearance. This "Wilson size 42" pinstriped flannel jersey has an equal amount of style and substance. The identifiers are made in two-color tackle twill and have puckered heavily. The left sleeve contains a special Illinois Sesquicentennial patch. A stain is visible near the second button. "Josephson" is applied to a swatch in the collar while Wilson and "68 Set 5" labels are in the tail. Name on back has been removed, a common practice at a time when jerseys were repurposed for farm club secondary wear. Overall, a fine representation from Josephson's big year.
