1966 Joe Azcue Game Worn Cleveland Indians Jersey. Rare and desirable zippered vest style was worn by the popular Cuban catcher known for his rocket arm, number ten on the career list with a 45.17% rate of throwing out aspiring base thieves. The Chief Wahoo patch remains in place over the heart, as does the "Wilson [size] 42" label at lower left front tail and its "66" flap tag designating vintage. Verso has been stripped of its identifiers for secondary minor league usage, but the toned outline of "Azcue 6" is very clearly visible. The number "6" at left chest has likewise been removed and has left its ghost behind. Each armpit has been hand cut for greater range of motion, by Azcue himself as our consignor attests. Front is autographed in 10/10 black sharpie. Fine wear throughout. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
