1966 Earl Battey Game Worn Minnesota Twins Jersey. Earl Battey was an original Twin, four-time All-Star, three-time Gold Glove winner, and the starting catcher for the 1965 American League Champions. His home white, pinstripe flannel has "Twins" emblazoned diagonally across the front in blue and red tackle twill, while the franchise's famed "twin cities" patch adorns the left sleeve. Inside the collar, there is a rectangular cloth swatch with "Battey" scripted in dark blue thread. Residing in the tail are two additional tags: "Wilson 44" and a swatch tag with "1966-1," denoting the year and set number. While Battey's number has been removed off the back, the jersey is otherwise intact, exhibits great game wear, and is a fine period specimen with outstanding display appeal. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
