    Description

1965 Wes Parker World Series Game Worn Los Angeles Dodgers Uniform. A signed letter of provenance from Mr. Parker himself--our consignor--tells the tale:

"This Dodger road uniform is the one I wore while starting at first base and batting .304 throughout the seven games it took us to win the 1965 World Series. Dodgers clubhouse man Nobe Kawano gave it to me the day after we returned home to clean out our lockers. It has been in my possession the past 53 years, locked in a vault, and retains its as new condition with vibrant colors and all tags intact. Enjoy!"

The grey flannel jersey announces "Los Angeles" and "28" in blue and red felt respectively on the chest, the digits repeated in blue on verso. Lower left front tail is tagged, "Rawlings [size] 42" above an embroidered "Parker 65." Matching pants bear a "Rawlings [size] 34" label anchoring a "Set 1 1965" flap tag, along with a washing instructions label and an embroidered swatch reading, "Parker 34 26" at interior waistband. Both garments exhibit solid game use but no damage, and remain in 100% original and unaltered condition. A marvelous keepsake of an unforgettable era in the City of Angels. Letter of provenance from Wes Parker. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
