Description

1964 Juan Marichal Game Worn & Signed San Francisco Giants Jersey. No Major League pitcher won more games during the decade of the 1960's than this Hall of Fame right-hander, who befuddled batters with his high leg kick, his wide variety of arm angles and his pinpoint control. He'd claim twenty-one victories in 1964--the second of four consecutive season north of twenty, and of six in his career--while leading the National League with twenty-two complete games. And he'd earn his third of nine All-Star nods.

The classic creamy white flannel sports the hurler's trademark custom sleeves and the unmistakable Halloween color palette in its "Giants" text spanning the chest and number "47" on verso, which was a farm system replacement for Marichal's legendary (and now retired) number "27." The replacement number has lost some of its orange base layer as our catalog imagery should demonstrate. But the embroidered "Marichal" swatch in the collar leaves no doubt about its original owner. Lower left front tail is tagged, "Tim McAuliffe Inc." with "'64" year and "42" size tags immediately below. Solid game use apparent. Lower left front tail is autographed by Marichal in 9/10 blue sharpie. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
