1964 Frank Baumann Game Worn Chicago White Sox Jersey & 1965 Danny Cater Game Worn Chicago White Sox Pants. One of the higher profile "bonus babies" of the 1950's with the highest price ever paid for a free agent at time time, Frank Baumann was signed right out of high school and nicknamed "Beau" by Red Sox owner Tom Yawkey. In 1960, he was the American League ERA leader in 1960 with 2.67 mark. Here we present his Chicago White Sox game jersey.

The button-down, home white flannel pinstripe has "Sox" on the left chest, with "22" on the verso and right sleeve, all sewn-on in navy blue and white tackle twill. (Note: Both numbers were added when the jersey was sent down to the minors after the season). "Baumann" in the collar and "1964-2" in the tail are both chain-linked stitched in blue onto a rectangular white felt swatches.

Home white flannel pinstripe pants were worn outfielder Danny Cater in 1965-66 and pitcher Jim O'Toole in 1967. The inside waist contains a "Wilson 34" tag, "Cater 1965 X-1-25" felt swatch, and "O'Toole" in faded laundry marker. Both exemplars exhibit fine game wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
