1964 Ed Charles Game Worn Kansas City Athletics "Green Mist" Jersey with Matching Pants. It had been decades since a Major League club had last diverged from the standard methodology of home whites and road greys, but Athletics team owner Charlie O. Finley was a true visionary, busting out in 1963 with crazy yellow and bright green before easing back on the throttle slightly for this revolutionary "green mist" follow-up in 1964.

We believe this jersey has only ever borne the number "16," attributing it to third baseman Ed Charles, but we must report that those digits are replaced on front and back. We see no outlines of other numbers. The logo "A" over the heart is original. Lower left front tail is tagged "Tim McAuliffe Inc" with "'64" and "48" tags denoting vintage and size below.

The pants bear "McAuliffe" tagging from 1968, with "16 33 26" embroidered directly into the waistband. Both halves of the ensemble exhibit solid game wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
