1964 Don Blasingame Game Worn Washington Senators Jersey. A tremendous period piece, this beautiful mid-1960's Washington home white pinstripe flannel design harkens back to the franchise's late-1950's style with "Senators" scripted across the chest and a lonely "1" on the verso, all sewn-on in two-color red on midnight navy tackle twill. It should be duly noted at this juncture that, while the numeral has been replaced, it was done so by the team and with the same number, plus additional stitching for reinforcement. Green "MacGregor 40" tag in the collar, with "MacGregor Set 1 1964" tag inside the tail. Washing tag has become disengaged from the garment but is included. The jersey shows heavy game wear from DC Stadium action. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
