1963 St. Louis Cardinals Game Jersey. The birds and bat logo that establishes St. Louis Cardinals jerseys as arguably the most beautiful of all Major League models first appeared in 1922 and continues on to this day, undergoing only the slightest of modifications over the past eight and a half decades. The gorgeous chenille design is in full effect here, applied to the silky soft grey flannel of this unused road jersey. The red and navy number "7" on both front and verso is a digit that didn't see action during this final season of Stan Musial's Major League career, hence no embroidered player attribution is to be found. A "Rawlings [size] 44" label appears in lower front tail, with a washing instructions label and "Set 1 1963" flap tag affixed to the interior tail. A rare Mint condition relic for the jersey style collector. LOA from Lou Lampson.
