1962 Sid Hudson Washington Senators Game Worn Jersey & 1961 Game Worn Pants. Hudson had a twelve-year major league career as a pitcher with the Washington Senators and Boston Red Sox. After he retired from pitching, he became the first pitching coach ever of the 1961 Washington Senators expansion team. The zip-front, home white pinstripe flannel jersey presented here is from the Senators second season in 1962, with "SENATORS" arched across the front in red tackle twill trimmed in blue. The back has "40" also in red/blue. A "MacGregor 46" tag is in the collar with "Set 2, 1962" tag inside the tail. The pinstripe pants are from the inaugural season of 1961 with a large "Wilson 44" tag in the waistline next to a felt swatch stitched with "1961." There is also a pair of funky blue/red/white stirrup socks to make this uniform complete. The entire ensemble exhibits fine game wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
