Description

1962 Leo Durocher Game Worn Los Angeles Dodgers Jersey, MEARS A10. He made his Major League debut in the uniform of the 1925 New York Yankees and his last as manager of the Houston Astros almost a half century later. But Leo the Lip is perhaps most closely associated with the franchise he represented while wearing this home white flannel as a coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The classic style features a scripted blue felt "Dodgers" across the chest with a red number "2," that digit repeated in blue on reverse. It's a number that would ultimately be retired for another Hall of Famer by the name of Tommy Lasorda. Lower left front tail is tagged "Tim McAuliffe" with "'62" year and "42" size tags above an embroidered "Durocher" swatch. Jersey remains in spectacular condition, the result of non-player wear and proper storage over the subsequent half century. LOA from MEARS, A10. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
