1962 Lee Stange Game Worn Minnesota Twins Jersey. Precious few Minnesota Twins flannel jerseys survived the team's early years. Were they sent to the minors? Were they just discarded? We may never know the final resting place of the early Twins jerseys but there is a severe shortage. This "Spalding size 42" road flannel button-up saw use in 1962 when Lee Stange was a pitcher for the Twinkies. Most of Stange's action was in a relief role. Season-long use is exhibited with moderate puckering on the two-color tackle twill name and numbers. The left sleeve contains a team patch. Ventilation holes are fitted under the arms to provide a little respite from the heat. A Spalding tag is joined by a size indicator in the tail. "Stange 39 42 62" is embroidered directly below the manufacturer's label. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
