    Description

1962 Frank Torre Game Worn Philadelphia Phillies Jersey. Known for his exemplary fielding, Frank Torre split time between Milwaukee and Philadelphia during his seven year career. Joe Torre's brother donned this "Wilson size 44" pinstriped jersey when he enjoyed his finest year at the plate - 1962. The elder Torre hit a career-high .310 in 108 games. "Phillies" is scripted across the chest with "16" on the verso, all sewn-on in heavy maroon embroidery on white cloth twill. Ventilation holes are installed for those oppressive summer contests. "F. Torre" is chainstitched to a felt swatch in the collar while the tail supports a "Wilson 44" tag and "1962" is chainstitched to a felt swatch for year reference. The jersey is all original and has no moth holes. A stunning gamer from one of baseball's best families. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
