1962 Boston Red Sox Game Worn Jersey, Number 33. Perhaps best remembered for pitching eight innings for the New York Giants in the game that would come to be immortalized by Bobby Thomson's "Shot Heard 'round the World," Sal the Barber took up with the BoSox in a coaching capacity following the close of his ten-season playing career. The home white flannel offers classic "Red Sox" in red and navy felt on chest, with number "33" appearing on verso. Tail has "Tim McAuliffe" label with "'62" year and "48" size tags below. Appropriate wear for a coach's jersey. One of eight offered Boston Red Sox flannels rescued from the club's Winter Haven, Florida spring training grounds by a Cypress Gardens theme park water skier. LOA from Lou Lampson.
