    Description

1962-64 Bob Aspromonte Game Worn Houston Colt .45's Jersey. Perhaps the most coveted style of all post-war flannels is represented by this undeniably awesome home white gamer from the brief lifespan of the expansion Colt .45's, a look (and name) utilized for just three seasons before the club moved to the Astrodome in 1965. A black and white chenille revolver sends forth a burst of orange smoke which spells "Colts" on the chest, giving way to a black and orange tackle twill number "14" on verso. "MacGregor size 42" label remains affixed at interior collar. Solid wear is evident throughout from the man who patrolled Houston's hot corner from the 1962 arrival of Major League Baseball in the Lone Star State until his winter of 1968 trade to the Atlanta Braves. It's one of just a tiny handful of home Colt .45's jerseys to surface in the collecting hobby, with the added appeal of its connection to one of the team's top stars. A special opportunity for the advanced uniform collector. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
