1961 Walter Bond Game Worn Cleveland Indians Rookie Jersey. Bond debuted with the 1960 Tribe, but had made only seventy-eight career appearances by the time the 1961 season was complete, affixing the offered home white flannel gamer with the desirable "rookie" adjective. Scarce five-season style (1958-62) provides bold block-lettered "Indians" across pinstriped chest in red and navy whipcord twill, with two-color number "12" applied to verso, and to right sleeve in smaller format. Chief Wahoo patch balances the design on left sleeve. Lower left front tail is tagged "Wilson [size] 44" above chain-link "1961" felt swatch. Solid wear suggests secondary usage in farm system, though garment remains 100% original and unaltered. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
