1961 Rudy York Game Worn Boston Red Sox Coach's Jersey. A star first baseman for the World Champion 1945 Detroit Tigers, York was a forty-eight year old coach for the BoSox when he sported this home white flannel uniform at Fenway during Yaz' rookie season. "Red Sox" is applied to chest in classic two-tone felt, with number "34" on reverse. Lower left front tail is tagged "Tim McAuliffe" with "'61" year and "48" size tags at the corners. A foot long cloth strap is sewn into rear interior collar to help the arthritic veteran pull his jersey on and off. Appropriate coach's wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
