1961 Luis Aparicio Game Worn Chicago White Sox Jersey. Marvelous road grey flannel dates from Aparicio's sixth of nine consecutive seasons atop the American League's stolen bases ladder, one in which he successfully swiped fifty-three bags as the ChiSox' lead-off man. The jersey exhibits heavy wear, due in part to a second life in the minors where the name on back was removed. This alteration accounts for the only point lost in MEARS' A9 grade, as the shirt is otherwise all original and in marvelous displayable condition. "Chicago" arches gently across the chest in navy tackle twill, with similarly constructed number "11" on verso and right sleeve. Interior collar holds "MacGregor Size 38" label. A top-tier representation from one of the stars of the famed Go Go Sox. LOA from MEARS. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
