1959 Jerry Lumpe Game Worn Kansas City Athletics Jersey. Part of a 1959 midseason trade that sent Hector Lopez and Ralph Terry to the Bronx, Lumpe was issued this home white gamer upon his arrival in Kansas City. The glamorous style features a red and navy felt "Athletics" scripted across the chest, and a fantastic chenille logo patch on the left sleeve (note this patch is original and vintage but a replacement). Lumpe's number "11" on verso has been replaced with a number "52," clearly the result of secondary wear in the minors. Interior collar holds "Wilson [size] 40" label. Bottom of exterior button path is affixed with embroidered "Set 2-59-11" swatch. Solid wear with no noteworthy condition distractions. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
