1958 Del Ennis Game Worn St. Louis Cardinals Jersey. Philadelphia fans can be tough. One of the men who received his lion's share of the fans' ire was Del Ennis. Despite being a productive member of the team, he had to deal with the raucous Philly natives from time to time. This "Rawlings size 44" flannel road jersey saw action when things were a little better and he called St. Louis home. The jersey was tagged for use in 1958 and then saw Spring Training usage given the high number (56) on back. Moderate use is shown on the button-up garment with sun fading to the chenille-filled birds-on-bat team logo. The reverse digits have surface degradation on the navy portion. Some pulling is visible near the reverse neckline. "Ennis 58" is stitched to the tail which includes a Rawlings tag and size indicator. The inner tail has washing instructions and "Set 1 1958" (flag) labels. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
