1957 Pee Wee Reese Game Worn Brooklyn Dodgers Pants. The year 1957 will always be recalled with a shudder by the residents of the borough of Brooklyn, as their beloved Boys of Summer would abandon Ebbets at the close of that campaign, never to return. These road grey flannel pants may be the very pair worn by their Hall of Fame shortstop on September 24, 1957, as just 6,702 fans came out to the park to say their final farewells. A full season's wear is evident, though the garment presents well with no damage. Interior waistband is tagged "Rawlings Hall of Fame Flannel," framed by washing instructions and size "34" labels. Just below is an embroidered felt swatch reading "Reese." The stitching on the right edge is loose but the swatch remains firmly affixed. No more "Wait 'til next year." This was the end. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
