1957-59 Boston Red Sox Game Worn Jacket. The height of Eisenhower-era baseball fashion. Wool letterman style jacket was issued to right-handed reliever Murray Wall during his three seasons of Fenway service. We find his surname hand-markered at interior collar, just above the "Tim McAuliffe" manufacturer's label. The wool knit garment features a great chenille logo patch over the heart. Oddly, the jacket is reversible to an uninspiring brown twill with no visible Red Sox markings, perhaps for an anonymous departure from the park after a poor performance. No size markings are apparent but Wall stood six-foot three at 185 pounds. Fine condition with no flaws worthy of note. LOA from Heritage Auction Galleries.
