1955 Bruce Edwards Game Worn Washington Senators Jersey. A two-time National League All-Star, Bruce Edwards was a fine defensive catcher who finished fourth in the MVP voting for 1947. A ten-year Major League veteran, Edwards spent the entire 1955 season with the Washington Senators. Perhaps the only highlight for the lowly Senators that season was their uniforms, the home version of which is presented here.

On of the most attractive flannels to ever grace the presence of a baseball diamond, the genius of its design lays in its timeless elements. This zipper-front white pinstripe flannel reports "W" over the left breast and "11" on the verso, both in a spectacular two-color blue on red tackle twill. The collar contains remnants of where Edwards name was once chain-stitched on a felt swatch, while the tail displays a "Wilson 44" tag, laundry label, and year swatch with "1955" chain-stitched in navy blue on white felt. The jersey shows fine wear. Note: While the metal catch at the base of the zipper detaches when unzipped, the zipper itself is fully intact and functional and displays beautifully.
