1954 Tex Clevenger Game Worn Boston Red Sox Jersey. Whether the team is up or down, the Boston faithful always cheer on their Red Sox. The 1954 team finished in the middle of the pack and was six games off the break even point. Situational reliever Tex Clevenger wore this "size 46" flannel jersey during his first taste of Major League action. The team name and reverse digits appear original and the red piping shows age wear. The tail has this sewn in single-color red: "1954 46 3 in 26." There is material loss (about 5x6") near the tail embroidery. Tim McAuliffe made the home jerseys that season but the label is missing - probably from the year of service. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
