1952 Sibby Sisti Game Worn Jersey. A thirteen-season servant of the Braves cause, Sisti is best remembered today for his versatility, having played every position except pitcher and catcher during his Major League career. Here we present a jersey he wore during the club's final season in Boston, as they would make Milwaukee their home at the start of the 1953 season. Rightfully claiming its position as the most attractive of all Big League shirts, this road grey gamer sports the classic tomahawk and "Braves" logo in felt and chenille upon the chest, and the exquisite Indian head patch at left sleeve. Sisti's lucky number "13" is applied to verso. Local Boston "Horace Partridge" label appears inside collar, with "44" size designation. Embroidered swatches affixed to left front tail read "Sisti" and "52" respectively. A light black sharpie autograph appears just below, and a far bolder example was added to the jersey front later. Wear is consistent throughout, though nothing in the way of damage is to be noted. A wonderful display piece, to be certain. LOA from Lou Lampson. LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph). LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph). Guide Value or Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500.
