1952 Mike Garcia Game Worn Cleveland Indians Jersey & Pants, MEARS A8.5. The Cleveland Indians possessed an imposing pitching staff in the 1950's. Future Hall of Famers Bob Feller, Bob Lemon and Early Wynn were top-line starters who gave hitters fits. But it was also the likes of Ray Narleski and Mike Garcia who helped propel the Indians into the World Series in 1954. According to Feller's analysis, Garcia was "sneaky quick" and noted for his mobility on the mound. This stunning "Wilson size 44" jersey saw action when Garcia toed the rubber in 1952, the finest season of his career, and posted a 22-11 record with a 2.37 ERA and finished ninth in the league MVP balloting.

The cream-colored button-up jersey has "Indians" scripted across the front in heavy two-tone felt material. "M. Garcia" is chain-stitched to a felt swatch in the collar. The tail has a Wilson tag, washing instructions label, "1952" straight sewn and a suspended size tag. The left sleeve still shows the outline of where the Chief Wahoo patch once stood. "25" is centered on the reverse in two-tone font. The jersey shows great overall use but the identifiers have maintained their vibrant colors. A period pair of pants completes the uniform. Similar tagging is found in the waistline of the "Wilson size 38" pants. "Harris" is written in vintage marker. The pants show good use but are not abused. LOA from MEARS, A8.5. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
