1952 Andy Pafko Game Worn Brooklyn Dodgers Jersey. The starting right fielder for the beloved Bums put splendid wear into this home white flannel sported during yet another National League Championship season at Ebbets Field. Though Pafko may not enjoy the Hall of Fame credentials of teammates Jackie, Campy, Pee Wee and the Duke, it was Handy Andy's 158 base hits that led all Dodgers in 1952. The offered creamy white flannel survives wonderfully, the key to its fine state of preservation evident in the strong scent of moth balls that permeates the fabric to this day. "Dodgers" is applied in unblemished blue felt script across the chest, with a red number "48" just below, digits repeated in larger blue format on reverse. Interior collar is tagged "Rawlings St. Louis 42." Blue chainstitching at lower left front tail announces "A Pafko 52." A 9/10 black sharpie signature resides just to the right. Included is a photocopy of the 1990 catalog listing from the jersey's hobby debut, reporting the existence of a Pafko letter stating this is a jersey he wore in the team's seven-game Fall Classic battle with the Yanks, but this letter is unfortunately lost to history. The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
