    Description

1950's Jimmy Bragan Game Worn Ft. Worth Cats Jersey. A member of the 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers, Bragan was one of the Southern players on the team petitioning against the signing of Jackie Robinson. But soon Bragan would see the light: "I told Mr. Rickey I had changed my mind and I was honored to be a teammate of Jackie Robinson," stating after his passing that "Branch Rickey made me a better man." Presented is a jersey worn as manager of the Bums' Texas League farm club, a marvelously well-preserved relic accompanied by a letter of provenance from Bragan's widow Sarah. Blue tackle twill spells "Fort Worth" in two-inch block on chest, with Bragan's number "25" applied to verso. Proper "Rawlings St. Louis" label appears at inner collar, with "Dry Clean Only" and size "42" labels below. Magnificent condition with proper managerial wear. A rare and desirable relic from one of the most noteworthy clubs and figures of the famed Texas League. Letter of provenance from Bragan's widow. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
