Description

1950's Eddie Robinson Game Worn Uniform Pieces. He played for seven of the original eight American League teams during his career and scouted for the Boston Red Sox, the only one missing from his playing resume. The following game worn uniform pieces are consigned to this auction by Robinson himself: 1) Early 1950's Chicago White Sox cap. 2) 1953 Philadelphia Athletics undershirt (identified by "Robinson 8" in marker on verso). 3) Pair of white stirrups, origin unknown. 4) Single black and orange stirrup, likely 1957 Baltimore Orioles. All pieces show strong wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
