1949 Earl Torgeson Game Worn Boston Braves Jersey & Pants. The Earl of Snohomish enjoyed a fifteen-year career which included a World Series during his final stanza. Earl Torgeson was a dependable player who counted brawling as one of his main strengths. This "Horace Partridge size 44" road jersey and matching pants served Torgeson during the 1949 season. We are pleased to report the flannel top is original in all aspects.

The left sleeve is emblazoned with a team patch (slight pulling) with chenille threads incorporated into the design. "Braves" is underscored on front while "9" takes residence on back. Two identifiers are found in the collar: Horace Partridge and "Torgeson" chainstitched to a white swatch. A "49" year swatch appears in the lowermost region. The zipper appears fully functional. Also included are a pair of period Braves pants. Two labels (manufacturer's and year) are found in the waistline along with an inventory stamp. Dirt stains are visible in various spots. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
