1949-50 Game Worn Washington Senators Jersey Attributed to Gil Coan, MEARS A7. A particularly desirable post-war flannel, this Washington Senators zipper-front road jersey reports "W" over the left breast and "3" on the verso, all sewn on in thick blue and red felt. "MacGregor Goldsmith 42" tagging appears in the collar. The Senators wore zipper-front-style jerseys in 1949 and 1950. Outfielder Gil Coan wore number "3" in 1949 but no player wore number "3" in 1950. The jersey was therefore most likely worn by Coan but a definite player identification cannot be made. Completely original with light wear evident. LOA from MEARS, A7. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
