Description

1947 Tommy Henrich Signed Uniform Player's Contract. Side by side in the Yankees outfield with the great Joe DiMaggio, Henrich's error-proof fielding and penchant for clutch hits earned him the nickname of "Old Reliable" and a place in the hearts of a generation of Bronx faithful. Here we present the paperwork that secured his services for the 1947 World Championship season, one in which the fleet-footed pinstriper trailed only the great Ted Williams in extra base hits. The standard agreement notes "$16,000" as Henrich's salary, and is beautifully signed "Thomas D. Henrich" at the close along with team president Larry MacPhail and League president William Harridge. All ink, and the contract itself, remains in flawless condition. A key document in Yankees World Championship history. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
