1947 Don Black Game Worn Cleveland Indians Jersey. Only the great Bob Feller pitched more innings for the Tribe in 1947 than the man who wore this grey flannel roadster as a member of the first integrated American League team (with the arrival of Larry Doby). "Cleveland" arches gently across chest in red and navy felt, with number "23" similarly applied to verso. Cartoonish logo patch remains at left sleeve. Interior collar holds proper "MacGregor Goldsmith Size 42" label and "Black 23" embroidered swatch, while interior lower left tail supplies embroidered "T47" swatch to denote vintage. Solid wear with a few scattered, inconsequential stains. Jersey is 100% original an unaltered, all the way down to the buttons. A marvelous specimen. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
