1942-44 Trenton Packers Game Worn Jersey with Health Patch.
The Trenton Packers were an affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies and then Brooklyn Dodgers when this Minor League jersey was worn. The offered "Spalding size 44" jersey was worn by a prospective big leaguer on this way to the show. A period manufacturer's tag, size label and "Dry Clean Only" flag tag are sewn in the collar. Worth special mention on the left sleeve is a health patch which was used by teams during the war years. "Trenton" is captured over the chest in single-color black felt. A player's name and what appears to be "1943" are written in the tail. There is some material loss near the writing. Moderate staining appears. The back tail has been cut. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
