1941 Harry Danning Game Worn New York Giants Jersey. A fourth consecutive All-Star season for Harry the Horse, considered one of the ten greatest Jewish ballplayers in Major League history. This gorgeous style represents the second year of a fashion that survived until 1947, when the team assumed the Halloween colors it sports to this day. Blue and red felt "New York" arches gently across the chest, bisected by a fully functional original zipper. Number "3" is similarly applied to verso, but it must be noted that this number was restored by hobby legend Dick Dobbins, removed from another period Giants jersey. Interior collar holds "Spalding" manufacturer's label and embroidered swatch announcing "H. Danning." Size "46" designator is oddly placed at interior rear center tail. Solid wear is evident throughout, with a few scattered stains that do not detract from the eye-catching aesthetics. A black sharpie "Harry 'The Horse' Danning" autograph at lower left front tail completes the package. LOA from Dick Dobbins. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
