1940's-50's Boston Red Sox Warm-Up Jacket. A lack of a player identifier will leave the name of the original owner a mystery, but you can rest assured that he was on the Red Sox payroll--these jackets were not available in retail stores. Dating from the era when Ted Williams ruled Fenway Park, this heavy navy wool letterman-style jacket provides all the charm of that special era in our national game. Marvelous chenille patch remains affixed over the heart, and the patriotic collar, sleeve and waist elasticized cuffing exhibit just a few moth holes that do little to undermine the wonderful overall appearance of the jacket. The local Boston "Tim McAuliffe" interior button path label affords no size markings, but we'd estimate about a 40 regular. All front snaps are present and functioning. A fine addition to your trophy room or your personal wardrobe. LOA from Lou Lampson. Guide Value or Estimate: $500 - $800.
