Description

1937 Rick Ferrell Game Worn Boston Red Sox Pants. Consigned along with the 1937 Red Sox jersey that precedes this lot, these pants were worn by a player for a Colorado industrial league team after a season traveling with Hall of Fame catcher Rick Ferrell. The interior waistband is embroidered in red "R Ferrell 2" to differentiate from his brother Wes, and to designate set 2. Waist size "36" is embroidered on the other side of the "Spalding" tag. Solid wear is evident, but nothing that could rightfully be characterized as damage. A rare opportunity to own pre-war Hall of Fame flannel from one of the premier backstops of his age. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
